About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Evaluation Consultant to join our team at Ofcom, the UK's communications regulator. As a key member of our Making Sense of Media (MSOM) team, you will work closely with commissioned organisations to evaluate the impact of their media literacy interventions.

Your primary responsibility will be to provide expert evaluation support to these organisations, helping them to develop and implement effective evaluation methodologies. This will involve building strong relationships with stakeholders, providing guidance on evaluation tools and data analysis, and contributing to the development of evaluation reports.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide evaluation support to commissioned organisations, including capacity building, methodology development, and data analysis
  • Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders, including Ofcom internal teams and external partners
  • Contribute to the development of evaluation reports and share good practice within the sector
  • Work closely with the MSOM team to ensure alignment with Ofcom's media literacy evaluation guidance and outcomes bank
Requirements
  • Proven experience in evaluation of interventions led by third sector or charity organisations
  • Strong understanding of media literacy outcomes and evaluation methodologies
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to work in a range of settings across the UK and be sensitive to meeting the needs of commissioned organisations
