Role Objective
The primary aim of this role is to assist managers and employees with all matters related to employee relations while ensuring adherence to legal and regulatory requirements in a supportive capacity.

Key Responsibilities

Employee Relations
  • Provide assistance to the HR team regarding grievances, disciplinary actions, wellbeing, and absence management.
  • Organize meetings, including sending invitations and preparing necessary documentation.
  • Ensure that all paperwork for formal meetings and tribunals is accurate and well-organized.

HR Documentation and Administration
  • Keep employee records updated in the HR Information System (HRIS).
  • Manage contractual changes and distribute employment contracts.
  • Oversee DBS renewals and responsibilities related to Visa/Sponsorship.
  • Handle documentation throughout the entire employee lifecycle.
  • Generate reports and compile survey results for HR Business Partners and the Chief People Officer.
  • Assist with the administration of HR events and maintain relevant email accounts.

HR Support
  • Address general inquiries from managers and employees.
  • Help with the archiving of personnel records and issuing references.
  • Respond to calls in the HR Support Centre, providing initial guidance.

Project Involvement
  • Assist with corporate projects and company initiatives as required.

General Responsibilities
  • Uphold confidentiality and comply with the Data Protection Act.
  • Follow Health, Safety, and Environmental Policies.
  • Promote equality and diversity within the organization.
  • Participate in new employee orientations and conduct management training sessions.
  • Collaborate with a supportive and guiding approach.
  • Effectively manage a heavy workload while demonstrating excellent time management and prioritization skills.

Qualifications and Skills
  • Preferably knowledgeable in the social care sector, employment law, and policy development.
  • Essential understanding of employment contracts and GDPR regulations.
  • Desirable experience with safeguarding and DBS processes.
  • Proficient in IT and knowledgeable about Visa and Sponsorship matters.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Educational Background
  • CIPD Level 3 or actively pursuing.
  • Good general educational background.
  • Willingness to progress towards CIPD Level 5.

Training Requirements
  • Completion of Care Shield for Mandatory, Service Specific & CPD Courses.
