Position Overview

We are seeking an Electrical and Instrumentation Specialist to become a vital part of our team at a leading Upper-Tier COMAH Chemical Manufacturer. This permanent role offers a competitive salary range of £55,000 - £65,000 annually, complemented by an attractive benefits package that includes up to an 11% pension contribution, complimentary on-site parking, company-subsidised private healthcare, and the option to choose between 5 additional days of annual leave or a 2% cash bonus.

Work Environment

This position requires on-site presence five days a week, with standard working hours from 8:30 am to 4:15 pm, along with some flexibility as necessary.

Key Responsibilities
  • Investigate, plan, organize, and execute a technical work program aimed at maintaining and enhancing information technology, engineering maintenance, and operational efficiency.
  • Manage minor projects that align with business objectives.
  • Develop and uphold maintenance standards to comply with current and future regulations.
  • Prepare specifications and scopes for the procurement, overhaul, and modification of plant equipment.
  • Analyze plant issues, provide reports, and recommend solutions to improve safety, reliability, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Oversee minor modifications and projects, ensuring that updates to plant systems and records are maintained for long-term sustainability.
  • Supervise quality control during turnarounds, installations, and commissioning to meet program objectives and legal standards.
  • Act as the DCS focal point to ensure that equipment and services align with business and site requirements.
Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess an HNC in a relevant discipline as a minimum, along with a minimum of 5 years of pertinent experience. Previous experience on a COMAH site will be highly advantageous.
