As an Automation Engineer at GXO Logistics, Inc., you will be responsible for performing maintenance tasks, including preventative and corrective maintenance. You will ensure all spare equipment is effectively maintained, with any required repair works recorded in accordance with asset management processes.
You will also be responsible for root cause analysis of automation breakdowns and providing timely repair solutions or corrective actions to ensure minimal disruption to the operation. Additionally, you will ensure all engineering activities are completed effectively and efficiently.
Requirements:- You should be qualified in electrical and mechanical engineering (minimum ONC Electrical Engineering / NVQ Level 3 – or equivalent).
- You should have previous experience within a similar environment, working with warehouse automation solutions including Automated Guided Vehicles, conveyors, and sorters.
- You should have experience of working in a complex, fast-moving environment.
- You should have an excellent working knowledge of Microsoft packages.
