Key Responsibilities:
- Assemble customer orders from order profiles, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Utilize the radio data terminal (RDT) to access customer orders, warehouse locations, and product information.
- Pick and build orders correctly and safely, adhering to warehouse procedures.
- Stretch wrap completed orders to secure them and present them to the marshalling area.
- Remove incoming loads from vehicles, checking best before dates, product descriptions, quantities, and quality.
- Load picked and marshalled pallets onto outward bound vehicles using the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Meet required Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Operate equipment safely and in line with training.
- Change FLT battery when flat and clean the FLT daily.
- Adhere to the clean as you go policy and company recycling and waste management program.
- Use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times and report Health, Safety, and Welfare breaches to the site management team.
- Perform additional Warehouse Operative duties as requested by supervisors or managers.
- Experience in the safe operation of electric powered pallet trucks.
- Experience in the safe operation of electric ride-on powered pallet trucks.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Adaptable approach to training.
- Conscientious and reliable.
- Experience in using a hand pallet truck.
- Use of radio data terminal (RDT).
- Able to work under pressure.
- Reasonable level of verbal and numerical reasoning.
- Good working attitude.
- Previous experience in a similar environment desirable but not essential.
