Role Overview
Scantec Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled Commissioning Engineer to join our client's team. As a Commissioning Engineer, you will play a critical role in developing and managing commissioning strategies, creating essential project documentation, and ensuring the seamless execution of commissioning activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Commissioning Strategy Development
- Contribute to the development of commissioning strategies and high-level control documents.
- Project Documentation
- Prepare critical project documentation, including control plans, setting to work documents, site acceptance documents, inactive commissioning documents, method statements, risk assessments, and LTQR documentation.
- Supplier Collaboration
- Collaborate with sub-contractors and suppliers to develop and review control plans, factory acceptance testing (FAT) documents, setting to work documents, site acceptance testing (SAT) documents, inactive commissioning documents, and LTQR documentation.
- Attend FATs, ensuring suppliers conduct testing according to the agreed test plan.
- Manage project engineers and technicians during setting to work, SAT, and inactive commissioning phases.
- Technical Expertise
- Understand the technical requirements of a project and collaborate with in-house specialists or supply chain support to develop design and engineering solutions.
Requirements
- Security Clearance
- All applicants must have DV Security Level Clearance. Please only apply if you have DV clearance.
- Technical Qualifications
- EC&I biased
- Commissioning experience on a nuclear licensed site
- Experience in supplier witness testing
- Experience in developing test documentation
- Desirable Qualifications
- Engineering degree or higher national certificate in engineering
- Membership of a relevant technical/professional body
- Control panel design experience
- General knowledge of mechanical and process engineering disciplines
- Fault finding experience
- Onsite supplier management experience
