About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Environmental Test Specialist to join our team at TÜV SÜD. As an Environmental Test Specialist, you will play a key role in providing a comprehensive environmental testing service to our customers across various industry sectors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conducting climatic and mechanical environmental testing to relevant test standards, regulatory requirements, and defined test plans.
  • Working closely with customers during attended testing, ensuring their needs are met and expectations are exceeded.
  • Recording test results using various electronic logbook systems and producing high-quality test reports, following company quality procedures.
  • Liaising with customers to specify and conduct tests, as well as interpreting results and providing recommendations.
  • Collaborating with the test supervisor to ensure work is carried out accurately and within the agreed timescales.
  • Developing and refining test plans with customers, ensuring their requirements are met and testing is conducted efficiently.
  • Contributing to the development of test methods and departmental documentation, ensuring they are up-to-date and relevant.
  • Working with the team to implement continuous improvement activities, developing procedures and processes to enhance the efficiency of our testing service.

Requirements

  • Practical experience of delivering climatic and/or mechanical test services, operating environmental test/shaker equipment.
  • An interest in working in a test environment, with a willingness to learn and adapt.
  • Motivated and enthusiastic, with a flexible approach to work, including willingness to work overtime, ad-hoc shifts, or on customer sites as required.
  • Good numerical, logical, organisational, and analytical skills, with a good understanding of IT systems such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team, delivering work to defined deadlines and exceeding customer expectations.
  • Conscientious with good interpersonal skills, excellent communication skills (written and verbal), and a commitment to delivering the best customer experience.

Desirable Requirements

  • Previous experience in a test house environment.
  • Knowledge of test laboratory quality and operating procedures.
