Position: Operations Finance Lead

Compensation: Starting from £64,000, commensurate with skills and experience, plus a car allowance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establishing performance metrics throughout the organization, focusing on cross-functional collaboration to enhance strategic initiatives, operational efficiency, and improvement plans.
  • Leveraging your expertise in Financial Operations to assist the broader organization in change initiatives, ensuring clear outcomes and ongoing enhancement strategies.
  • Collaborating with the Sales and Operations teams while supporting the Finance Director in integration efforts and serving as a liaison to our Finance Capability Centers.
  • Engaging with senior stakeholders, managers, and budget holders to facilitate business transformation and enhancements.
  • Conducting thorough evaluations and due diligence on new business ventures to secure approval for pricing strategies while balancing customer requirements with shareholder interests.
  • Providing assistance to Integrated Operations Directors and Senior Managers to further enhance performance outcomes.

Required Skills and Experience:

Essential:

  • Qualified Accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA).
  • Experience in supporting the execution of long-term, complex programs or projects.
  • Exhibit high levels of political and cultural sensitivity.
  • Ability to convey financial complexities to non-financial personnel and simplify challenges, opportunities, and issues.
  • Proven capability to analyze, summarize, and present management information to address intricate business challenges and offer actionable recommendations.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence organizational decisions with a proactive and inquisitive approach, collaborating effectively across multiple stakeholders.
  • Proven experience in adapting swiftly to evolving and challenging customer demands.

Desirable:

  • Experience in a manufacturing setting and/or large public limited company environment.
  • Proven track record in establishing and driving program performance through integrated teams.

Team Overview:

Reporting to the Finance Director, you will support the Integrated Operations division within the Air Sector, which plays a crucial role in the organization, employing approximately 7,000 individuals who deliver both operational and functional services.

As the Operations Finance Lead, you will play a pivotal role in integrating and advancing the overall Performance Framework across the organization, ensuring consistency and standardization in approach. This will involve leading and managing a small team to provide high-level information and business analysis that drives strategy, operational performance, and improvement initiatives.
