Experienced Veterinary Surgeon Wanted for Part-time Role in Oxford

We are seeking an experienced veterinary surgeon to join our well-established clinic in Oxford. This part-time position offers flexibility, with 2-3 days per week, and adaptable shift times to suit the candidate's availability.

About the Role

The ideal candidate will be confident in performing routine surgeries and managing medical cases, have strong communication skills, work well within a team, and show enthusiasm for developing their clinical expertise. They should also align with our values of care, progressiveness, and trust.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver exceptional clinical care during consultations and procedures
  • Provide clear and effective communication with clients about patient care
  • Uphold high standards of regulatory, practice, and operational compliance
  • Prepare tailored treatment plans with accurate cost estimates
  • Mentor and support team members in skill development
  • Complete clinical handover and manage patient transfers when necessary
  • Promote and share best clinical practices across the veterinary community
Requirements
  • RCVS registered Veterinary Surgeon
  • Proven experience in providing excellent care to patients and clients
  • Strong ability to work effectively within a team
  • Demonstrated clinical leadership skills
  • Experience fostering a progressive clinical culture
  • Familiarity with nurse consultations and Schedule 3 procedures to enhance clinic efficiency
  • Skilled in coaching and mentoring colleagues to achieve their potential
