A leading construction consultancy in Norwich is seeking an experienced Principal Designer to join their team. As a Principal Designer, you will play a key role in advising clients on their duties under the CDM 2015 regulations, working closely with designers to ensure safety and compliance from project inception to completion.
Key Responsibilities:- Acting as Principal Designer and CDM Advisor, providing guidance on health and safety matters.
- Conducting design reviews and advising project teams on compliance with CDM 2015.
- Preparing and reviewing pre-construction information and managing risk assessments.
- Engaging with clients and design teams to promote best practices and effective risk management.
- Supporting the preparation of Construction Phase Plans (CPP) and ensuring all Health and Safety documentation is in place.
- Minimum 3 years' experience in a Principal Designer role within a consultancy environment.
- Strong understanding of CDM 2015 regulations and Health and Safety standards.
- NEBOSH Construction Certificate or equivalent Health and Safety qualification.
- Membership with a relevant professional body such as APS, IOSH, or RICS is desirable.
- Background in architecture, engineering, or construction management.
- Salary up to £60,000
