About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pediatric Nurse to join our team at Hywel Dda University Health Board. As a Junior Sister/Charge Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to children and families, working across the Cilgerran Unit and other paediatric services.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide supervisory management and leadership to junior staff
• Coordinate and manage patient care, ensuring the highest standards of care and safety
• Develop and implement care plans, working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams
• Participate in recruitment and selection, and contribute to the development of the team
• Contribute to the development of policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements

Requirements

• Current NMC registration as a Registered Nurse (RGN)
• Postgraduate diploma or equivalent experience in paediatric nursing
• Experience of supervisory management and leadership
• Ability to communicate effectively with children, families, and healthcare professionals
• Strong knowledge of paediatric nursing principles and practices

Desirable Qualifications and Experience

• Welsh language skills (Level 1)
• Experience of research and audit
• Participation in incident reporting and investigation
• Leadership and management experience
