About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pediatric Nurse to join our team at Hywel Dda University Health Board. As a Junior Sister/Charge Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to children and families, working across the Cilgerran Unit and other paediatric services.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide supervisory management and leadership to junior staff
- Coordinate and manage patient care, ensuring the highest standards of care and safety
- Develop and implement care plans, working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams
- Participate in recruitment and selection, and contribute to the development of the team
- Contribute to the development of policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements
Requirements
- Current NMC registration as a Registered Nurse (RGN)
- Postgraduate diploma or equivalent experience in paediatric nursing
- Experience of supervisory management and leadership
- Ability to communicate effectively with children, families, and healthcare professionals
- Strong knowledge of paediatric nursing principles and practices
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
- Welsh language skills (Level 1)
- Experience of research and audit
- Participation in incident reporting and investigation
- Leadership and management experience
