We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Healthcare Operations Manager to become an integral part of our collaborative team at Gibson Lane Practice.
The ideal candidate will join our established management team, taking over from the current operations manager, and will be tasked with providing strategic and operational leadership.
Key Responsibilities
Applicants should possess a strong sense of responsibility and demonstrable leadership and management experience. A comprehensive understanding of management principles, financial oversight, human resources, information technology, and strategic planning, along with exceptional communication skills at all levels, are crucial for this role.
You will receive support from a proficient clinical and management team, including the business manager. The Healthcare Operations Manager is a vital member of the organization, expected to inspire and guide the team towards achieving its objectives.
About Our Practice
We are a well-established practice with multiple partners and a dedicated team.
Our patient list size is approximately 11,500, supported by a full nursing team, including practice nurses and healthcare assistants.
We engage in teaching, training, and research, hosting medical students and registrars.
Core Duties
Leadership: Collaborate closely with the lead GP to foster effective relationships with all stakeholders, both internal and external. Contribute to the practice's development by leading and managing staff effectively, ensuring a collaborative work environment.
Patient Services: Ensure compliance with NHS contractual obligations related to patient care, oversee appointment systems, and manage patient feedback processes.
Staff Management: Oversee recruitment and induction processes, manage staff development, and ensure adherence to HR policies and procedures.
Strategic Development: Represent the practice in various forums, manage organizational change, and maintain strong relationships with local healthcare entities.
Information Management: Act as the Data Protection Officer, ensuring compliance with information governance and data protection regulations.
Communication: Build and maintain relationships with healthcare organizations, representing the practice at meetings and supporting the clinical team.
Financial Oversight: Collaborate with partners to ensure compliance with contractual requirements and explore opportunities for income enhancement.
General Responsibilities: Maintain confidentiality, adhere to health and safety regulations, and participate in ongoing professional development.
