Job Summary:

The Foiling Technician will be responsible for the setup and operation of the foiling process, ensuring the production of high-quality products. Key aspects of this role include working flexibility to meet production requirements, fault rectification, and problem-solving throughout the production process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and record process parameters at designated times.
  • Perform quality checks on assigned products according to the product quality plan.
  • Record scrap information and segregate non-conforming products from good production.
  • Communicate information via relevant channels and produce quality products.
  • Adhere to production schedules and perform technical activities as required.
  • Alert relevant personnel to process and product concerns.
  • Participate in training and development activities as determined by the Shift Coordinator and training plan.
  • Project a positive attitude and collaborate with cross-functional departments to promote a strong team culture.
  • Engage with Statistical Process Control (SPC) to improve efficiency and continuous improvement.
  • Safeguard company property.
  • Control the shutdown of the foiling line, including emergency shutdown.
  • Set process to line-specific job variances.
  • Install, uninstall, and store foiling line tooling.
  • Maintain a clean and tidy workspace, adhering to housekeeping procedures.
  • Engage with Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) to improve and maintain production, safety, and quality systems.
  • Perform low-level preventative maintenance tasks as required.
  • Start up the foiling line.
  • Fault rectification and problem-solving.
  • Transfer knowledge and skills among team members as a mentor.
  • Undertake reasonable duties as required.
  • Adhere to shutdown, setup, and start-up procedures.
  • Adhere to fault rectification procedures.

Requirements:

  • Good level of numeracy and literacy.
  • Ability to use a PC to an operational level.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Mechanical skills.
