Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Machine Shop Planner to join our team at Autograph Recruitment Ltd. As a key member of our manufacturing operations team, you will be responsible for planning and coordinating production orders to meet customer delivery requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and coordinate production orders to meet customer delivery requirements
  • Release production orders and book in completed work
  • Issue plans to the shop floor to show forward load and required dates
  • Plan maintenance activities to minimize downtime
  • Facilitate make or sub-contract discussions and manage sub-contract order placement
  • Report key performance indicators (KPIs) monthly
  • Communicate accurate planning information to internal customers and stakeholders
  • Assist with identifying and justifying improvement projects to enhance manufacturing efficiency

Requirements

  • Engineering background in manufacturing, including CNC machining
  • Experience reviewing KPIs and analyzing production data
  • Experience raising purchase requisitions and managing inventory
  • Knowledge of Manufacturing Resource Planning (MRP) and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems
  • Excellent organizational skills, with attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
