Job Title: Site Services Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Site Services Engineer to join our team at Iceland's Head Office and Depot in Deeside, near Chester. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our office, depot, and associated facilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure the office, depot, and associated facilities are maintained to the highest possible standards, in accordance with legislation and best practice.
  • Work within the department on both planned and reactive maintenance, including monitoring and maintenance of large industrial ammonia refrigeration plants.
  • Maintain documentation to ensure company legal compliance and use the CMMS (shire) to ensure all regular maintenance is carried out.
  • Ensure regular mandatory checks, including general and emergency lighting maintenance, legionella, refrigeration plant, dock levellers, access equipment, and building management systems.
  • Install new plant and equipment, and continually assess plant to ensure most effective performance in both energy and operation.
  • Undertake internal office furniture/equipment handling removals and relocation, including conference/training rooms and audio visual equipment.
  • Perform planned and reactive plumbing and drainage maintenance, inspection and repair of pallet racking, and R&D for on-going projects to ensure best practice within the industry.
  • Assist the facilities manager to ensure all contractual obligations are carried out fully, successfully, and with the minimum disruption.
Requirements:
  • A trade apprenticeship with at least 5 years' practical experience in the industry, maintenance, or installation background.
  • GCSE Level standard or equivalent in Maths, English, and Science subjects.
  • Qualification: O.N.C. or C & G Certificate Mechanical/Electrical Engineering.
  • Proven ability in fault finding, full clean driving licence, and strong mechanical/electrical skills, electrically biased.
Desirable:
  • C&G 2079 F Gas and ODS Regulations.
  • BS EN 378:2008.
  • BS th Edition regulations.
  • Initial and Periodic Electrical Inspection and Testing or equivalent.
  • C&G EET / PAT Testing or equivalent.
  • Counterbalance FLT Licence.
  • IPAF 3a/3b.
  • PASMA.
