Job Title: Lead Game Artist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Game Artist to join our team at Datascope Recruitment. As a Lead Game Artist, you will be responsible for leading the art team and creating high-quality game assets that bring our games to life.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the art team and provide guidance and direction to junior artists
  • Conceptualize and develop game art assets, including characters, environments, and effects
  • Collaborate with the design team to ensure that the art style and vision align with the game's overall direction
  • Develop and maintain art style guides and ensure consistency across the game
  • Work closely with the programming team to ensure that art assets are optimized for performance
  • Provide feedback and guidance to junior artists to help them improve their skills
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest art trends and technologies and apply this knowledge to improve our game's art

Requirements:

  • 6+ years of experience in game art, with a strong focus on leading a team
  • Proven track record of creating high-quality game art assets
  • Strong understanding of art styles and the ability to develop and maintain a consistent art style
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to work closely with cross-functional teams, including design, programming, and production
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts, Computer Arts, or a related field
  • Experience with game engines such as Unity or Unreal Engine
  • Knowledge of 3D modeling, texturing, and lighting
  • Experience with art management tools such as Shotgun or ArtStation
