Compensation: £11.75 per hour, with an additional Sunday premium of £2.93 per hour.
Employee Benefits: 20 days of annual leave, increasing to 25 after five years of service, in addition to bank holidays, provided uniform, personal protective equipment (PPE), employee referral incentives, and a Defined Contribution pension scheme. A work vehicle and parking are also included.
Employment Type: Permanent
Work Schedule: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Saturday.
As a part of Royal Mail Property & Facilities Solutions, you will operate from 0800 to 1415, either collaboratively with a team or independently, ensuring we uphold the high standards of service our clients expect. Please be aware that shift times may be subject to change at short notice.
Role Overview
In this position as a mobile cleaning operative, you will be tasked with managing multiple locations within designated postcode areas, covering for staff absences and annual leave. Your responsibilities will include a variety of cleaning duties such as mopping, restroom sanitation, wall washing, vacuuming, waste disposal, and dusting, all performed to a high standard of cleanliness and safety.
Familiarity with various cleaning equipment is beneficial, although comprehensive training will be provided. This role is physically demanding and involves manual handling tasks.
Driving Requirements: Due to the nature of the role and the distances between locations, a full UK driving licence with no more than six penalty points is necessary. A work vehicle (van) will be provided, along with reimbursement for fuel expenses incurred while traveling between sites.
Candidate Profile
Previous experience in cleaning is preferred but not mandatory. The ideal candidate will possess a friendly demeanor, strong written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to interact effectively with clients and management while adhering to Health & Safety regulations.
We seek a reliable, self-driven individual with a keen attention to detail. You should be capable of working independently, managing your own schedule, as this position will involve remote supervision.
