Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Operative to join our team at Savills Management Resources. As a key member of our onsite team, you will be responsible for carrying out reactive and planned maintenance repairs at a residential building in Ilford.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carrying out painting and decorating tasks, including preparing surfaces and applying finishes.
  • Performing general maintenance tasks, such as tightening loose screws, fixing signage, and sweeping and clearing areas.
  • Assisting with basic carpentry work, including repairing and replacing fixtures and fittings.
  • Undertaking basic hardscaping tasks, such as re-bedding and replacing paving stones and flagstones.
  • Flushing infrequently used outlets on a weekly basis.
  • Using stepladders and ladders for short-duration work.
  • Replacing light bulbs and domestic appliance plug fuses.
  • Conducting void management checks and fire door checks.
  • Performing drainage works, tiling, and reglazing at ground floor level.
  • Using basic hand tools and power tools provided by Savills.
Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a good level of experience in maintenance and repair work, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. You will be required to work at heights and in confined spaces, and will need to be physically fit and able to lift heavy objects.
