Job Overview

Silverwood Recruitment is seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Parts Sales Advisor to join our dynamic team in Newry. As a key member of our sales team, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service, ensuring smooth sales processes, and driving sales growth within the parts department.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Customer Service: Provide expert advice and support to customers, identifying and supplying the correct parts based on their needs and specifications.
  • Sales Generation: Maximise sales opportunities by identifying upsell and cross-sell opportunities for additional parts and accessories.
  • Order Processing: Accurately process customer orders in a timely manner, ensuring smooth and efficient transactions.
  • Stock Management: Assist in maintaining optimal stock levels by monitoring inventory, placing orders, and managing stock rotation.
  • Product Knowledge: Stay up to date with the latest product offerings, industry trends, and technical details to advise customers effectively.
  • Problem Resolution: Handle customer complaints and issues professionally, finding solutions to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with both retail and trade customers, understanding their requirements and delivering tailored solutions.
  • Administration: Maintain accurate records of sales, orders, and customer interactions within our systems.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with the sales and technical teams to ensure seamless service delivery and customer satisfaction.
Required Skills and Experience:
  • Proven experience in a parts sales role, preferably in an automotive, industrial, or related field.
  • Strong knowledge of vehicle parts and components, or a willingness to learn.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to build rapport with customers and colleagues.
  • Strong organisational and multitasking abilities.
  • Proficiency in using inventory and sales management software.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.

  • Prior experience in a similar role within the Newry area.
  • Familiarity with a wide range of parts and equipment.
  • A strong problem-solving mindset with the ability to handle challenges effectively.
