Job Overview

**Senior Hydrologist Position**

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Hydrologist to join our team at Allen & York, a specialist environmental consultancy. The successful candidate will have extensive experience in flood risk management and SuDS, with a proven track record in delivering project-specific assessments and designs for flood mitigation and SuDS schemes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and mentor junior members of staff, providing technical guidance and support.
  • Deliver project-specific assessments and designs for flood mitigation and SuDS schemes.
  • Liaise with clients, regulators, and colleagues to ensure effective project delivery.
  • Develop and implement flood risk management strategies for retail, commercial, and residential housing developments.

Requirements:

  • Hold or be working towards chartership.
  • Relevant Masters or PHD in a related field.
  • Extensive experience in flood risk management and SuDS.
  • Proven track record in delivering project-specific assessments and designs.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills.
