We are seeking a skilled Cook to join our team at Westgate, where you will be responsible for planning, preparing, and presenting meals to our residents. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will ensure that our food service meets the highest standards of quality, safety, and hygiene.
Key Responsibilities- Plan and prepare meals for our residents, using a variety of cuisines and recipes.
- Ensure that all food is stored, handled, and cooked safely, in accordance with our health and safety policies.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to our high standards of hygiene and cleanliness.
- Monitor and control food waste, ensuring that we minimize our environmental impact.
- Work collaboratively with our catering team to ensure that our food service is efficient, effective, and meets the needs of our residents.
- 2 years of experience in hands-on cooking, preferably in a similar environment.
- Experience of working to strict food hygiene standards, with a strong understanding of health and safety protocols.
- Ability to follow recipes and cooking instructions, with a willingness to learn and adapt to new cuisines and cooking techniques.
