About the Role

We are seeking highly motivated and passionate individuals to join our team as Locum Consultants in Obstetrics and Gynaecology. As a leading provider of maternity care in the UK, we offer a unique opportunity to gain experience from a diverse population with varied pathologies and problems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support and complement secondary and tertiary Obstetric services
  • Take a leading role in improving the quality of services
  • Provide clinical responsibility for a defined cohort of women under their care
  • Deliver outpatient clinics and participate in consultant rota patterns
  • Undertake administrative work and provide out-of-hours care
  • Be responsible for obstetric and gynaecology training of junior staff and undergraduate students
  • Participate in clinical teaching and training of the wider multidisciplinary team
  • Take an active role in Clinical Governance and lead audit projects
  • Promote research and academic activity within the department

Requirements
  • MRCOG or equivalent qualification
  • Registered on the GMC Specialist Register or eligible for relevant CCT within 6 months
  • Completed two obstetric ATSMs
  • Ability to perform obstetric ultrasound to a level equivalent to the RCOG basic obstetric ultrasound module
