Job Description

As a Mechanical Engineer in our Fusion and Modular Nuclear Business Unit, you will work closely with multi-disciplined teams and the supply chain to deliver Turbine Island design development activities. Reporting to the Turbine Island Senior Mechanical Engineer, your key responsibilities will include:

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Minimum 2:1 BEng in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
  • Relevant senior engineering experience in sectors like offshore, renewables, nuclear, or other highly regulated industries
  • Solid background in mechanical and structural engineering
  • Proficient with CAD software: Skilled in Autodesk Inventor, AutoCAD, and/or Catia
  • Strong mathematical skills: Experienced with MathCAD software
  • Skilled in producing technical reports: Expertise in creating design and substantiation reports, assembly procedures, etc.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes: Understanding of welding, machining, etc.
  • Experienced with the engineering design cycle from Concept to Manufacture
