Job Description

**Financial Planning Specialist**

At Thames Water, we are seeking a highly skilled Financial Planning Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Capital Delivery Directorate, you will play a critical role in supporting our annual planning, forecasting, and analytics efforts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the development and implementation of financial planning and forecasting models to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and analyze business needs, and develop solutions to drive business growth and efficiency.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance on financial reporting matters, including budgeting, forecasting, and planning cycles.
  • Develop and maintain internal control frameworks to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Respond to ad-hoc requests for analytics and provide support to business partners for cost visibility, business case preparation, and investigation into financial performance.
  • Monitor external reporting requirements and research accounting issues to drive business efficiencies.

Requirements:

  • Accounting qualification (ACA, CIMA, CPA, CMA, CHAE or equivalent)
  • Experience with SAP and planning systems
  • Strong modeling and database skills
  • Financial and analytical experience

What We Offer:

  • Competitive salary from £55,000 - £62,500 per annum, depending on experience
