About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our Building Services team at Ramboll Group A/S. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of our company and contributing to the delivery of high-profile projects in the UK and internationally.

Key Responsibilities
  • Mentor and Develop a Team of Engineers: Provide guidance, support, and development opportunities to a team of experienced Building Services Engineers, helping them to grow and succeed in their careers.
  • Protect and Develop Quality of Designs: Ensure that our designs meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and sustainability, and provide technical and pastoral mentoring to the mechanical team locally and nationally.
  • Drive and Deliver Quality Projects: Lead and manage projects from conception to completion, ensuring that they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the satisfaction of our clients.
  • Complete Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the local market, developing and maintaining relationships with key clients and stakeholders.
  • Liaise and Interact with Other Teams: Collaborate with other UK Building Services teams to optimize technical direction and use of standard procedures and digital tools.
  • Manage Technical Risks and Negotiate Scope of Services: Identify and mitigate technical risks, negotiate the scope of services with clients, and prepare fee proposals.
About You

We are looking for a Chartered Engineer with a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent, who has previous experience in leading and coordinating all aspects of project delivery (mechanical bias). You should be forward-thinking and enthusiastic about digital design innovation and 'smart design' in increasingly digitalized construction arenas. You should also have a high degree of technical competence with demonstrable appreciation of sustainable / net zero carbon design, extensive client-facing skills, and the ability to motivate, support, and guide multidisciplinary professional teams.
