About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrician to join our team at DPS Group. As an Electrician, you will play a crucial role in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and equipment across various sectors, including Power, Pharmaceutical, Petrochemical, and more.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install cable containment systems to a high standard, ensuring safety and compliance with BS 7671.
  • Install, gland, and terminate cable systems, adhering to BS 7671 and manufacturer's instructions.
  • Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits, using testing devices to ensure compatibility and safety.
  • Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components, using test equipment and hand tools.
  • Work at height to install, maintain, or repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using appropriate safety equipment and adhering to safe working procedures.
  • Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair.
  • Advise management on whether continued operation of equipment could be hazardous.
  • Plan layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, based on job specifications and standards.
Requirements
  • Fully qualified electrician with skills in the installation, repair, and maintenance of all types of electrical equipment and components.
  • ECS Grading Card, current and in date (BS 7671 Training, Approved Health and Safety Assessment).
  • Knowledge of applicable electrical standards and regulations.
  • Fully qualified to 18th Edition.
  • Water industry experience is highly advantageous, but other sectors such as heavy industry will also be considered.
  • EUSR Ticket and DPS.
