Clinical Neuropsychologist

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical/Counselling Neuropsychologist to join our team at Herefordshire and Worcestershire Health and Care NHS Trust. The successful candidate will have a strong background in neuropsychology and experience in leading psychological interventions in a clinical setting.
Main Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive neuropsychological assessments and provide evidence-based interventions for individuals with acquired and neurodegenerative brain injuries.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans, emphasizing biopsychosocial formulations and evidence-based interventions.
- Contribute to audit, research, and service development initiatives to improve patient outcomes and service delivery.
- Provide formal and ad-hoc supervision to other staff members, including trainees, and offer teaching and learning opportunities.
- Lead the development of psychological and cognitive interventions for individuals with stroke and ABI, promoting a culture of support and collaboration within the service and with partner agencies.

The ideal candidate will possess a BSc/BA Honours degree in Psychology, a Post-graduate Doctorate in Clinical or Counselling Psychology, and experience in specific evidence-based techniques for working with clients with complex psychological presentations. They will also have a strong track record of leading psychological interventions, conducting clinically relevant research, and working in multidisciplinary teams.
ExperienceThe successful candidate will have a minimum of 4 years of experience working as a qualified Clinical Psychologist within the specified service area, with a strong background in neuropsychology and experience in leading psychological interventions. They will also have experience in assessing and providing a wide range of psychological interventions to patients across the life span and care settings.
