Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Research Foundation Dentist to join our team at the University of Leeds. As a Research Foundation Dentist, you will play a key role in our community-based research programme, working with a team of interdisciplinary academics to develop your clinical research skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead the training of Foundation Dentists and sixth formers in research methods and techniques.
  2. Assess the competency of trainees and coordinate the delivery of research projects in schools.
  3. Conduct oral health assessments and collect clinical data from school children and adolescents in the community school setting.
  4. Lead on collecting and analyzing data, and diagnosing dental disease from school children and adolescents.

Research Programme:

The RiY research programme will focus on improving oral health knowledge and behavior in vulnerable communities, with a particular emphasis on areas of social deprivation in West Yorkshire.
