Job Summary

We are seeking a talented Business Tax Assistant Manager to join our team in Tunbridge Wells. As a key member of our Business Tax team, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of clients, providing tax compliance and advisory services, and driving the delivery of advisory and compliance services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Undertake consultancy work on an ad-hoc basis
  • Manage client accounts and relationships
  • Budget and monitor compliance fees
  • Appraise and monitor staff performance
  • Provide on-the-job training and mentoring for junior staff
  • Ensure procedures are followed in accordance with institute and HMRC guidance
  • Meet department KPIs around billing and recovery targets
  • Support the team in marketing and business development activities
Requirements
  • Relevant tax experience gained within the profession or industry
  • Technically capable tax adviser with complex client work experience
  • Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office packages
  • Starting to gain staff management, mentoring, and supervisory experience
  • Ability to motivate staff to ensure best performance
  • Proven project management skills
