About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Bank Cook to join our team at Humber Teaching NHS Foundation Trust. As a Bank Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality meals to our patients, staff, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and prepare meals and menus in accordance with nutritional guidelines and dietary requirements.
  • Prepare and cook food to a high standard, ensuring that all dishes are presented attractively and are safe for consumption.
  • Maintain a clean and hygienic kitchen environment, adhering to health and safety regulations and guidelines.
  • Work effectively as part of a team to ensure that meals are served promptly and efficiently.
  • Assist with menu planning, food ordering, and stock control.
Requirements
  • Foundation certificate in food hygiene level 2.
  • Knowledge of HACCP and COSHH.
  • Understanding of current Food Safety Legislation.
  • Knowledge of textured diets.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
  • Demonstration of further qualification interests.
  • Full knowledge of cleaning techniques and equipment.
  • Manual Handling.
Working Environment

As a Bank Cook, you will work in a fast-paced kitchen environment, preparing and serving meals to a high standard. You will be required to work flexibly, including weekends and bank holidays, to meet the needs of the service.
