About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and caring Well-being and Activities Coordinator to join our team at Burford House Care Home, part of Westgate Healthcare.

The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying residents' activity needs and wishes, producing a varied programme based on these findings, and exploring the most appropriate methods and resources for meeting activity needs.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Organising theme and fund-raising events as required, based on local holidays and traditions
  • Managing monthly activity budgets for entertainment, materials, and outings in accordance with Company procedures
  • Ensuring risk assessments have been carried out on all activities and outings
  • Producing newsletters in accordance with the company newsletter procedure
  • Updating social media pages on a daily basis

We are looking for individuals who share our values, have an interest in helping others, a can-do attitude, and who will treat the people we support with care, compassion, and respect.

About You

We require:

  • The right to live and work in the UK
  • Ability to work in a team, a caring nature, and a positive attitude
  • An understanding of Health and Safety
  • An understanding of emotional, social, physical, psychological, and intellectual needs of vulnerable people
  • Ability to engage others in recreational activities

Previous experience in a similar position in a care home is desirable but not essential.
