Travel Consultant Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Travel Consultant to join our team at Invigorate Recruitment. As a Travel Consultant, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and managing all travel requirements and holidays for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Research and plan every aspect of our customers' holiday experience.
  • Provide all relevant information, brochures, and internet links for customers.
  • Advise customers on visa requirements and country-specific requirements.
  • Book flights, accommodation, package tours, and travel arrangements, as well as transfers.
  • Process all booking administration and documents with high attention to detail.
  • Liaise with clients if any changes occur and find solutions to any problems with bookings.
  • Attend promotional events on behalf of the company and gain product knowledge.
  • Maintain and develop good working relationships with supplier partners, customers, and colleagues.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to maximize sales opportunities and achieve branch targets.
Essential Qualities:
  • Proven experience in a similar role.
  • Excellent communication skills, the ability to persuade and influence, interact, and negotiate effectively.
  • First-class attention to detail, customer service experience, commercial awareness, and up-to-date product knowledge.
  • Ability to promote additional products, such as airport hotels, lounges, attraction tickets, and demonstrate strong sales skills.
Desirable Qualities:
  • A passion for travel, demonstrated through personal experience.
  • Experience with Inspirational or other widely used reservation systems.
  • A degree or other relevant qualification in Hospitality, Travel and Tourism, or Business.
Working Hours and Benefits:
  • Monday to Saturday (no Sundays or Bank Holidays).
