Job Title: Process Simulation and Modeling Expert

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Process Simulation and Modeling professional to join our team at ICM Group. As a Process Simulation and Modeling Expert, you will be responsible for providing expert guidance and support to de-bottleneck process operations and optimize through process simulation technologies.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Streamline Process Simulation & Optimization Objectives: Develop program best practices, and monitor KPIs to improve Process Simulation and modeling performance.
  2. Lead and Develop Process Simulation Models: Refineries and NGL fractionations using dynamic or steady state simulation software applications.
  3. Perform Process Simulations and Modeling: Analyze refinery processes and optimize their performance using specialized software tools.
  4. Develop and Maintain Thermodynamic Models: Mathematical equations that accurately represent the behavior of various refinery processes.
  5. Verify Simulation Model Accuracy: Compare results with actual plant data and conduct sensitivity analyses.
  6. Identify Areas for Process Improvements: Propose modifications or optimizations to increase efficiency, reduce costs, or meet regulatory requirements.
  7. Conduct Performance Improvement Feasibility Studies: Increase yields, and operational efficiency of the company.
  8. Analyze Chronic Problems: De-bottleneck complex models to improve process operations and economic benefits.
  9. Conduct Safety Assessments: Evaluate the impact of potential process changes or plant modifications.
  10. Lead Technical Sessions: Design review, model review, and commissioning.
  11. Provide Subject Matter Expertise: Operating facilities Operations, Maintenance, and Engineering teams by consulting, providing awareness sessions, and participating and leading technical exchanges and conferences.
  12. Conduct Benchmarks and Business Case Studies: Evaluate process simulation technologies.
  13. Review Standards and General Instructions: Act as leading SME.
  14. Prepare Detailed Reports and Presentations: Communicate simulation results, findings, and recommendations to stakeholders.
  15. Collaborate with Other Engineers and Researchers: Contribute to the development of new simulation software tools, methodologies, and techniques.

Requirements: Must have a bachelor's degree in chemical engineering. Must have a minimum of 10 years of experience with Process Simulation and Modeling technologies. Must demonstrate expertise in process engineering end flowsheet-based processes simulation. Must possess a comprehensive understanding of refinery facilities, feedstock/product movements, margins, giveaways, process yields, and mass and energy balances. Must be familiar with international standards and specifications for advanced process control; process modeling is also essential. Must possess exceptional analytical and troubleshooting skills in the field of advanced process solutions. Must possess strong leadership skills to effectively manage technical discussions and guide technical teams.
