The salary for this position ranges from £25,071 to £31,700, inclusive of a 20% shift premium.

Please be aware that this role requires a commitment of 42 hours per week, following a shift pattern of 14 shifts of 12.5 hours within a 28-day cycle.

Your schedule will include both day and night shifts; day shifts are from 05:45 to 18:15, while night shifts run from 18:45 to 06:15.


This is a permanent role.

As a vital member of the Campus Engineering Team, Fabric Engineers collaborate with both shift and technical teams to execute planned, reactive, remedial, and enhancement tasks in-house.

Maintaining building fabric and delivering value-added change work are crucial for the continuously evolving automated environment across the campus; accomplishing this work internally with skilled Partners supports the engineering objectives of the campus.

Internal execution of planned maintenance, reactive and remedial tasks, along with involvement in project activities, aims to reduce reliance on external contractors in a 24-hour operational environment where service level agreements are often critical to business.

A willingness and eagerness to acquire new skills related to campus asset upkeep and repairs, including inspection processes, record maintenance, plumbing, sanitary systems, painting, and external site upkeep, is essential.

Achieving first-fix solutions for building fabric, fixtures, and equipment while assisting the Engineering Technician team requires effective communication with Engineering Shift Managers.

A strong vocational background with demonstrated construction or engineering experience is required.

A thorough understanding of Health & Safety regulations in commercial and industrial settings is expected.

CSCS accreditation is necessary.

Training in IPAF & PASMA, as well as Working at Height, is required.

Qualifications in IOSH / NEBOSH are preferred.

Experience as a Maintenance Engineer, Maintenance Technician, Electrical Maintenance Engineer, Service Engineer, or Service Technician is advantageous.
