Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Technical Manager to join our Marine Technical Services Team in Greenock. As a Technical Manager, you will be responsible for providing leadership and technical expertise to the team, ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our marine fleet.

Main Responsibilities

  • Provide technical direction and guidance to the team, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and contractual obligations.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve operational efficiency and technical performance.
  • Manage the technical aspects of vessel operations, including maintenance, repairs, and upgrades.
  • Lead the team in the development and implementation of technical plans and procedures.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure effective communication and coordination.
  • Monitor and report on technical performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
  • Ensure compliance with Company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, and regulatory bodies.

Requirements

  • Qualified to at least Class I Engineering Certificate of Competency and/or have a Degree in an Engineering related discipline.
  • Proven experience in technical management, with a strong understanding of engineering and technical processes in the marine industry.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and implement solutions.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, with multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Strong commercial acumen, with the ability to manage budgets and resources effectively.
