Section Engineer

Murphy is seeking a highly skilled Section Engineer to join our team in delivering clean and wastewater projects on the Thames Water Framework. As a Section Engineer, you will be responsible for managing and mentoring junior engineers, assisting Construction/Site Managers in all aspects of construction, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality projects.
Key Responsibilities- Reporting to Senior/Project Engineers
- Establishing and promoting best practice in health, safety, and environmental matters
- Monitoring work under control to ensure safe conditions and compliance with Company policies
- Liaising with senior engineers and designers to ensure accurate information for construction
- Maintaining good working relations with clients, designers, teams, and supply chain
- Supervising assistant and site engineers
- Supporting temporary works design schemes and acting as TW Supervisor or Coordinator
- Identifying, coaching, and developing key staff
- Advising and training engineers on setting out methods and techniques
- Preparing written risk assessments and method statements
- Preparing Inspection and Test Plans
- Keeping a full and accurate daily site diary
Murphy is a Primary Contractor in Lot 5 North London Infrastructure, value £200m. The framework will consist of the delivery of ECI, detailed design, build, commissioning, and handover of water and wastewater infrastructure schemes. The project will feature repairs and build of new assets with a bias towards Clean Water networks.
