Systems Engineer Industrial Placement

As a Systems Engineer Industrial Placement, you will play a key role in the design, implementation, and testing of embedded and application projects in a real-world engineering environment.

Our Electronic Warfare & Cyber Security teams are looking for a talented individual to introduce next-generation technologies and skills, applying them to solve complex problems. You will work closely with our UK Government and Security Agencies to shape and build cutting-edge solutions that combat evolving threats.

Responsibilities:

  • Overview each stage of the product lifecycle, including requirements capture and analysis, design, integration testing, and systems testing for embedded systems, control, and real-time applications.
  • Document design specifications and implementation details with guidance.
  • Obtain a good understanding of the system as a whole to provide effective and appropriate solutions.
  • Work as part of a team to discuss system designs, interfaces, and protocols to identify and implement solutions.
  • Guide the integration of developed software, firmware, and hardware to meet customer requirements.
  • Devising appropriate test procedures to prove the correct operation of systems.

Requirements:

  • On track to achieve at least a 2:1 in Engineering, Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or Physics.
  • Demonstrable passion for engineering and technology, keeping up to date with latest innovations.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a self-starter.
  • Willingness to learn and tenacious approach to problem-solving.
  • Desire to pursue a rewarding career in the engineering and technology industry.

  • You will be notified if you have been shortlisted for interview on 18th November 2024.
  • Assessment Centres will be held on 28th November 2024 and 3rd December 2024.
