Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Electrical Maintenance Technician to join our team at PDA Search & Selection. As an Electrical Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing a range of electrical, mechanical plant and equipment in retail outlets, including all building services, in an efficient and cost-effective manner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Complete the planned maintenance schedule within agreed KPI timescales and ensure all necessary paperwork is completed accurately and to the laid-down procedures.
  • Respond promptly and positively to service call requests from the Service Desk and assess the requirements of the job and carry out repairs as and where necessary.
  • Prioritise maintenance and repair work to achieve agreed timescales and response times.
  • Order spares to the laid-down procedures.
  • Identify non-repairable faults in plant and machinery and promptly advise the Lead Engineer or Engineering Manager of findings, with recommendations regarding suitable replacement.
  • Advise the GM and distribution line managers of any repair and maintenance issues that are likely to affect the smooth running of the depot.
  • Assist the Site Delivery Manager in his/her duties to manage and control depot third-party alliance contractors and ensure service inspection paperwork is correctly filed on site.
  • Carry out surveys and complete reports as required by the Lead Engineer or Engineering Manager.
  • Carry out minor alterations and installations in accordance with current specifications. Also carry out all relevant testing and inspection supported with full company certification.
  • Complete general repairs and maintenance to Co-op Distribution sites as designated by the Lead Engineer or Engineering Manager, e.g. this may include general building repairs.
  • Assist City colleagues in other areas when requested to do so by the Lead Engineer or Engineering Manager.
  • Ensure all tools and equipment necessary (as per company tool list) to complete maintenance and repairs are used in the correct manner and are available and serviceable at all times.
  • Liaise with project teams on any site alterations, modernisations and other relevant works.
  • Maintain accurate Time Sheets as required.
  • Carry out all tasks in accordance with specific KPI's.
  • Attend training courses as and where necessary and to ensure personal job skills keep pace with technical developments.
  • Comply with the company Health and Safety Policy at all times.
  • Work with company and Co-op colleagues to ensure laid-down standards of quality are maintained at all times.
  • Comply with any other reasonable request or instruction from the Lead Engineer or Site Delivery Manager.
  • Represent the company in a professional manner at all times and develop a good working relationship with City and Co-op colleagues.
  • Respond to service call requests within agreed response times.

Requirements:

  • NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation.
  • City and Guilds 18th Edition.
  • Previous experience in building maintenance.
  • Mechanical qualification is preferred.
  • Ability to repair and maintain a range of equipment.
  • Full Driving Licence and flexible to travel daily if required.
