Computer Science Teacher Job Description

Step Teachers is working with a reputable Secondary School in the Tottenham area to find a skilled Computer Science Teacher to join their team on a Long-Term Supply basis. The school values academic excellence and strives to create a supportive learning environment for students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and deliver engaging Computer Science lessons that cater to diverse student abilities and learning styles.
  • Develop hands-on activities and projects that allow students to apply theoretical knowledge to real-world scenarios.
  • Foster a collaborative and inclusive learning environment where students feel empowered to explore and experiment with Computer Science concepts.
  • Provide constructive feedback and support to students as they work on coding assignments, projects, and assessments.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to integrate Computer Science across the curriculum and promote interdisciplinary learning opportunities.
  • Stay up-to-date with developments in Computer Science education and incorporate innovative teaching methodologies into classroom practice.

Requirements:

  • QTS or equivalent qualification.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • Teaching certification or relevant experience in education.
  • Strong understanding of Computer Science fundamentals, including algorithms, data structures, and software development principles.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Passion for inspiring a love of Computer Science in students of all backgrounds.
