People & Development Coordinator

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated People & Development Coordinator to join our team at Lawyers On Demand. As a key member of our HR department, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth onboarding and offboarding of our lawyers and consultants, as well as providing day-to-day support and development opportunities.
Key Responsibilities- Onboarding and Offboarding: Lead the induction process for new starters, including processing engagement letters, assignment notifications, and onboarding items using our automated platform.
- Line Management and Support: Provide line management support to our lawyers and consultants, ensuring they receive a responsive level of support while on assignment.
- Troubleshooting and Problem-Solving: Use your initiative to assist in troubleshooting and solving problems across a range of issues, and identify creative solutions to execute.
- Coordination and Communication: Escalate key commercial issues to senior members of the client account team and work with them to ensure the right solution is delivered quickly and efficiently.
- Learning and Development: Work with the Head of People & Development to structure and implement career development frameworks, and deliver learning and development opportunities.
- Operations and Continuous Improvement: Drive excellence in operations across the People & Development team, connecting those operations into the wider business, and overseeing end-to-end operational processes within our tech systems.
- Impact and Initiative: Take ownership, use good organisational skills, and use initiative to make an impact.
- Communication and Relationships: Have authentic and clear communication skills, emotional intelligence, and the ability to build and maintain relationships both internally and externally.
- Decision-Making and Problem-Solving: Make wise decisions, seeing the big picture and root causes without losing your eye for detail.
- Curiosity and Adaptability: Have a curious personality and open mind to thrive, learn, and engage in an entrepreneurial team, and find solutions to difficult problems.
- Industry Knowledge and Relationships: Have a genuine interest in the changing legal market and in ensuring that our lawyers and clients receive the best possible experience throughout their dealings with us.
- Long-Term Relationships: Wish to develop long-term relationships with lawyers and clients, taking the time to do so.
