Main Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced theatre environment
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient flow and efficient theatre operations
  • Develop and maintain specialist knowledge of medical and surgical conditions in relevant clinical areas
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of theatre policies and procedures
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the continuous improvement of theatre services

Requirements

  • Current HCPC or NMC registration as an Operating Departmental Practitioner or Registered Nurse (Adult)
  • Recognised mentor qualification (desirable)
  • Specialist knowledge of medical and surgical conditions in relevant clinical areas
  • Ability to work as part of a team and project a positive image
  • Ability to work in a demanding environment
  • Evidence of clinical team working and ability to work under own initiative
  • Experience of working in the theatre environment
