Job Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Electrical or Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team at Torchlight Recruitment Solutions. As a key member of our Engineering team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality design solutions for large-scale Government and MOD buildings/projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Undertake all aspects of electrical or mechanical design, including developing project specifications and producing detailed designs.
  • Liaise with engineers across the M&E discipline and Building Services to ensure seamless project delivery.
  • Communicate project critical issues to Directors and clients in a timely manner.
  • Mentor graduates and technicians to support their professional development.
  • Actively engage in Continuing Professional Development (CPD) to maintain and enhance your skills and knowledge.

Requirements:

  • Experience of working on large building projects (£5M+).
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD (or Revit) and Microsoft Office, with Microsoft Project experience desirable.
  • Minimum of HNC in Building Services, and ideally CIBSE or IET existing member.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Good knowledge of electrical or mechanical design engineering principles and practices.

What We Offer:

  • A competitive salary range of £45,000 - £65,000 + bonus + benefits.

Location: Flexible, with the option to work from our offices in Monmouth or other locations across the South and London.
