Key Responsibilities:

  • Guest Welcome and Seating: Greet guests as they arrive, provide a warm welcome, and assist with seating arrangements.
  • Restaurant Operations: Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the restaurant's layout, table availability, and seating capacity.
  • Reservations and Coordination: Manage reservations, including recording bookings, updating availability, and confirming reservations as needed.
  • Food and Beverage Service: Coordinate with the kitchen and serving staff to ensure timely and accurate delivery of food and beverages to guests.
  • Dining Room Management: Monitor dining room activity to anticipate guest needs and ensure a seamless dining experience.
  • Guest Service: Handle guest inquiries, requests, and complaints promptly and professionally, striving to resolve issues to the guest's satisfaction.
  • Staff Supervision: Train and supervise hosting and serving staff, providing guidance on service standards, etiquette, and guest interaction.
  • Cleanliness and Organization: Maintain cleanliness and organization in the front-of-house area, including the reception area, dining room, and restrooms.
  • Revenue Maximization: Collaborate with management to develop and implement strategies for enhancing the guest experience and maximizing revenue.

Requirements:

  • Previous Experience: Previous experience in a supervisory or managerial role within the hospitality industry, preferably in fine dining or upscale restaurants.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with guests, staff, and management.
  • Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in reservation management software and basic computer skills.
  • Knowledge and Skills: Knowledge of food and beverage service procedures, including wine service and menu presentation.
  • Professionalism: A professional demeanor and a passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences.
  • Availability: Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by the restaurant's operating hours.
