About the Role:
Searcys is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maitre D' to oversee the smooth operation of our front-of-house service at St Pancras Brasserie. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring that our guests receive exceptional service and have a memorable dining experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Guest Welcome and Seating: Greet guests as they arrive, provide a warm welcome, and assist with seating arrangements.
- Restaurant Operations: Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the restaurant's layout, table availability, and seating capacity.
- Reservations and Coordination: Manage reservations, including recording bookings, updating availability, and confirming reservations as needed.
- Food and Beverage Service: Coordinate with the kitchen and serving staff to ensure timely and accurate delivery of food and beverages to guests.
- Dining Room Management: Monitor dining room activity to anticipate guest needs and ensure a seamless dining experience.
- Guest Service: Handle guest inquiries, requests, and complaints promptly and professionally, striving to resolve issues to the guest's satisfaction.
- Staff Supervision: Train and supervise hosting and serving staff, providing guidance on service standards, etiquette, and guest interaction.
- Cleanliness and Organization: Maintain cleanliness and organization in the front-of-house area, including the reception area, dining room, and restrooms.
- Revenue Maximization: Collaborate with management to develop and implement strategies for enhancing the guest experience and maximizing revenue.
Requirements:
- Previous Experience: Previous experience in a supervisory or managerial role within the hospitality industry, preferably in fine dining or upscale restaurants.
- Interpersonal Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with guests, staff, and management.
- Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in reservation management software and basic computer skills.
- Knowledge and Skills: Knowledge of food and beverage service procedures, including wine service and menu presentation.
- Professionalism: A professional demeanor and a passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences.
- Availability: Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by the restaurant's operating hours.
