Manpower UK Ltd is seeking a dedicated Logistics Operations Supervisor for our esteemed client, who provides state-of-the-art facilities and equipment, along with an opportunity to contribute to a progressive organization that is making a significant impact in the industry.
Our client's distribution centers, known as "Microsites," are strategically positioned throughout the region.
Utilizing a fleet of vehicles and drivers, these centers deliver fresh cooking oils to the food service, takeaway, and catering sectors while also collecting used cooking oils for the production of biofuels and renewable energy at the central processing facility.
Key Responsibilities:
• Generate outbound Waste Transfer Documentation
• Enforce company policies and operational procedures
• Compile and oversee daily documentation to ensure accurate data collection
• Participate in weekly strategic planning sessions
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the yard and office space
• Foster a Safety-First culture by educating, coaching, and ensuring compliance to cultivate safe practices for all personnel and visitors.
• Ensure adherence to primary containment measures to meet environmental performance criteria and maintain regulatory compliance.
Quality Assurance and Regulatory Compliance:
• Develop and uphold control measures to guarantee that processed oils meet all necessary specifications and legal standards.
• Conduct routine inspections and evaluations to pinpoint potential improvements and rectify any compliance issues.
• Offer training and development opportunities to enhance team skills and knowledge.
• ILM Level 2 Minimum (Preferred)
• Valid UK Driving License
• Proven experience in overseeing yard or transport operations within a processing or manufacturing setting, ideally in the liquids or oil processing sectors.
• Strong grasp of process optimization, quality assurance, and safety regulations.
• Capability to analyze data, make informed decisions, and effectively resolve issues.
This is a permanent, full-time role with comprehensive training provided and a generous benefits package including 25 days of annual leave plus 8 public holidays.
