Senior Accountant and Tax Professional

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant and Tax Professional to join our team at Office Angels. As a key member of our financial services team, you will be responsible for providing expert advice and support to our clients in the areas of accounting and taxation.
Key Responsibilities- Produce high-quality account working files and resolve queries with clients in a timely and professional manner.
- Prepare detailed discussion points for senior managers or partners, ensuring that all relevant information is presented in a clear and concise manner.
- Liaise with HMRC, including handling compliance checks and ensuring that all statutory disclosures are included per company checklists.
- Work within agreed budgets and timelines, ensuring that all projects are completed to a high standard and on time.
- Produce draft tax computations and provisions for inclusion in accounts, ensuring that all relevant information is accurate and up-to-date.
- Plan and control professional work within the firm's standard procedures, identifying basic planning opportunities and implementing effective solutions.
- Attend training and seminars to further develop technical and personal skills, ensuring that you remain up-to-date with the latest industry developments.
- Contribute to tax advisory projects, ensuring that all work is completed to a high standard and in accordance with technical standards.
- Seek opportunities to increase client billings and attract new clients, ensuring that the firm's financial goals are met.
- Previous experience in an accounting firm, with a strong understanding of accounting and taxation principles.
- Mixed tax experience gained in a practice environment, with a strong understanding of HMRC regulations and compliance.
- Familiarity with Iris and Xero is preferred, but not essential.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word is essential, with the ability to produce high-quality reports and presentations.
- Experience with cloud-based accountancy software, with a strong understanding of its applications and benefits.
