Safety Engineer Subcontractor Opportunity

Certain Advantage is seeking a highly skilled Safety Engineer Subcontractor to join our team on an initial 12-month contract. The role will be split between working onsite and working from home, with the option to choose between our Bristol or Stevenage locations.

Job Summary

We are looking for an engineer with expertise in safety engineering to influence the safety aspects of our technically complex products. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering safety analysis, working closely with internal teams and external stakeholders, and liaising with key stakeholders to define safety boundaries and develop safety management plans.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver safety analysis to enable the integration of our products onto new platforms
  • Work closely with internal and external teams to define safety boundaries and develop safety management plans
  • Liaise with key stakeholders to ensure safety requirements are met
  • Assist in the production of safety case reports, hazard analysis, and functional failure analysis
  • Support the development of safety architectures and electronic engineering
Requirements
  • Demonstrable knowledge of UK and international system engineering processes, particularly in safety-related systems
  • Thorough understanding of hazard analysis and its integration with system engineering
  • Ability to deliver supporting information, including safety case reports and hazard analysis
  • Detailed electronic engineering experience is highly desirable
  • Good verbal and written communication skills, analytical and problem-solving skills, and stakeholder management
