Job Title: Estates Surveyor
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Estates Surveyor to join our team at Marks Consulting Partners. As an Estates Surveyor, you will be responsible for providing expert advice on property valuation, management, and transactions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide specialist advice to colleagues, customers, and internal departments on interpreting and applying policies and technical principles.
- Negotiate terms and charges with statutory authorities and other bodies for easements, wayleaves, licences, and rights of way affecting land in the ownership of the council.
- Conduct marketing and negotiations for the sale or lease of council properties and provide valuation reports for property transactions, feasibility studies, land estimates, and asset valuation purposes.
- Prepare reports on a range of technical issues, ensuring they meet regulations, codes of practice, and Council guidelines.
Requirements:
- Degree in Estate Management or relevant qualification.
- Membership of the Chartered Surveyors General Practise Division / RICS.
- Relevant practical experience, backed by evidence of planning work activities within professional guidelines.
- Awareness of local government property practices and procedures.
- Self-starter with the ability to work with minimum supervision.
- Effective IT skills and working knowledge of databases, spreadsheet packages.
- Excellent communication skills with good persuasion and influencing skills.
