Facilities Maintenance Technician

Role Overview:
As the Facilities Maintenance Technician, you will be integral to ensuring the safety and comfort of our residents and staff, while also maintaining the aesthetic appeal of the home and surrounding areas.
Conducting regular health and safety inspections is essential to foster a secure environment for all. This includes checks on fire alarms, water systems, and bed safety, among other responsibilities.
Strong communication skills are crucial in this role. You will frequently interact with residents, their families, and team members as part of your daily tasks. Additionally, you will coordinate with contractors to ensure that maintenance work is completed to a high standard.
Occasional travel to other facilities may be required for coverage or scheduled maintenance tasks.
Required Skills:
- Teamwork is essential: A unified team creates a positive atmosphere for residents and contributes to a thriving care environment.
- Practical abilities in identifying and executing minor repairs are necessary, including basic plumbing and DIY skills.
- A solid understanding of health and safety regulations is important, with knowledge of Legionella management being advantageous.
- A valid driver's license and access to personal transportation are required.
- Proficiency in using technology, including iPads or laptops, along with compliance applications, is expected.
