Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Electrician to join our team at Sodexo, working at Queens Hospital Romford. As a key member of our facilities management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe operation and maintenance of all electrical systems within the hospital estate.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Ensuring the safe operation and maintenance of all electrical systems, including electrical distribution, lighting, fire detection, and building control and automation.
  • Providing technical advice and support to the facilities management team, including liaison with electrical contractors and manufacturers.
  • Undertaking routine maintenance and repairs to electrical systems, including fault diagnosis and rectification.
  • Working collaboratively with other teams to ensure the smooth operation of the hospital's facilities.

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Electrician who is able to work independently and as part of a team. You will have a strong understanding of electrical systems and a proven track record of maintaining and repairing electrical equipment.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A City & Guilds/NVQ qualification in electrical engineering or equivalent.
  • Experience of working with electrical systems, including electrical distribution, lighting, and fire detection.
  • Strong technical knowledge and skills, including fault diagnosis and rectification.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • A basic knowledge of use of a tablet or iPad.
