The Transpennine Route Upgrade is a landmark project that will revolutionize the railway between York and Manchester via Leeds and Huddersfield. As a Civils Delivery Director, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful delivery of this multi-billion-pound programme.

Reporting to the Civils IDT Lead, you will be responsible for providing leadership and guidance to the Civils IDT Management Team and the W3A SLT. Your key tasks will include ensuring the quality of the works meets the VFM Statement, managing risks and opportunities, and delivering the major civils scope to time and schedule.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the Civils IDT Management Team and W3A SLT to deliver the major civils scope
  • Ensure the quality of the works meets the VFM Statement and targets are met or exceeded
  • Manage risks and opportunities relating to the civils scope
  • Deliver the major civils scope to time and schedule
  • Manage key stakeholders in a live station environment
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Minimum of 10 years experience in a senior leadership role, managing multiple large-scale projects or programmes
  • Management of large civil engineering projects in excess of £100m
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in a senior position on a large multi-disciplinary rail project
  • Experience of producing accurate reports, presenting trend data, and presenting to senior leaders
